Puerto Aventuras is about 25 kilometers (15 miles) south of Playa del Carmen, around a 25-30 minute drive, with daily departures and optional hotel pickup. Cristalino and Jardín del Edén are ideal for Open Water divers, while Tajmaha offers an extensive cavern system recommended for divers with more experience. Our guides will choose the best option for your certification level.
Yes. Excellent visibility, easy access and calm water make this area ideal for first-time cenote divers. Open Water certified divers can join our cenote Fun Dives, and if you are not certified yet, our Discover Scuba experience lets you explore select cenotes with a fully qualified instructor.

Yes. Diving in cenote caverns is very safe when done with a qualified dive center. At The Dive Machine we follow the safety protocols required in cenotes, and all our guides are certified cave divers with extensive experience.
