Frequently Asked Questions
The ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel takes approximately 45 minutes and runs regularly throughout the day. We can arrange pickups from your hotel in Playa del Carmen and coordinate your ferry transportation for an additional fee. Our team will guide you through the entire process to ensure a hassle-free diving experience in Cozumel.
Cozumel’s vibrant reefs are home to colorful tropical fish, majestic sea turtles, stingrays, and sharks. The crystal-clear waters reveal intricate coral formations and a diverse array of marine life. From November through March, eagle rays are commonly spotted, adding excitement to your diving experience.
You can dive in Cozumel year-round, with consistently warm water temperatures ranging from 26–29°C. From November through May, visibility is excellent (60+ meters) and the weather is stable. From May through September, the water is warmer, with calm conditions and fewer crowds.
It isn't required for all dives. We offer Discover Scuba experiences for beginners without certification in protected reef areas. For deeper dives and greater independence underwater, we recommend completing an SSI Open Water Certification course with our experienced instructors.
