Cristalino lives up to its name. Its water is so clear that visibility is close to perfect, and its mini caves and open areas make every dive feel like floating in the air. It reaches a maximum depth of about 14 meters and is quieter than the busiest cenotes of the Riviera Maya, so you can enjoy the formations and the light at your own pace. Our certified guides plan each dive for your level and take care of the logistics from Playa del Carmen.

You can dive Cristalino all year round: cenotes offer ideal conditions in every season, with water between 24 and 26 °C. The best months to combine cenotes and reefs in Puerto Aventuras are October to April.
A Little About Cristalino...
Cristalino is in the Puerto Aventuras area, about 25 kilometers (15 miles) south of Playa del Carmen, around a 25-30 minute drive. It is one of the cenotes we recommend for newly certified divers thanks to its excellent visibility, easy entry and calm, current-free water. Like the other cenotes of the Riviera Maya, it opens the door to the underground world of stalactites, stalagmites and natural light that makes cenote diving unique.

Cristalino Cenote is in the Puerto Aventuras area of the Riviera Maya, about 25 kilometers (15 miles) south of Playa del Carmen, around a 25-30 minute drive. We have daily departures from Playa del Carmen and can arrange hotel pickup for an additional fee.
Cristalino reaches a maximum depth of about 14 meters (46 feet). Its easy entry and near-perfect visibility make it one of the cenotes we recommend for newly certified divers.
To join our cenote Fun Dives you need an Open Water certification or higher. If you are not certified yet, our Discover Scuba experience lets you explore select cenotes with a fully qualified instructor. Contact us and we will recommend the best option for your level.
Our cenote diving packages include all equipment (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, tanks, weights, fins, mask and dive light), a certified SSI guide, two cenote dives, lunch, snacks and water. Round-trip transportation is available for an additional fee. Cenote entrance fees are paid by the diver.
Yes. Diving in cenote caverns is very safe when done with a qualified dive center. At The Dive Machine we follow the safety protocols required in cenotes, and all our guides are certified cave divers with extensive experience.
